Itineraries
Day 1
Jammu/Katra to Pahalgam
Today on arrival at Jammu/Katra Railway station meet our driver after that proceed Pahalgam Located at 2133 mts, it is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker’s Paradise’. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 2
Pahalgam Sightseeing and Exploration
After breakfast, start the trip to Chandanwadi. Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as a major part of the movie was shot here. Post lunch (on your own) or as time permits, proceed for a trip to Aru Valley (on your own). Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows and mountains. It is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder river. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Note: In Pahalgam outside vehicles are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxis can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicles will pick up & drop from hotel.
Day 3
Pahalgam to Srinagar + Houseboat Stay
After buffet breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs. old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lots of rice fields. On arrival at Srinagar, transfer to the Houseboat. After check-in at the houseboat, you can relax for a while. Later in the evening, proceed for a Shikara ride in Dal Lake. Overnight stay in Srinagar at the Houseboat.
Day 4
Srinagar City Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and get transferred to the hotel. After check in, proceed to sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), The Chashme Shahi Garden & Shankaracharya Temple. Evening is free for shopping. Overnight stay in Srinagar at Hotel.
Day 5
Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed for Sonamarg which is situated at a distance of 85 Kms/2-3 Hours) on the Srinagar – Ladakh Road. The road passes through the picturesque town of Ganderbal (21 Kms) & Kangan (40 Kms) before reaching Sonamarg. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg, which means – Meadow of Gold – has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that flows through the valley abounds with trout. You may have Pony ride while going to Thajiwas Glacier. Enjoy Sledge riding on snowy mountains. Back to Srinagar in the evening. En route, visit the famous Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla village which is constructed over a sacred spring & is dedicated to Goddess Ragynea Bhagwati. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 6
Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
Today after breakfast, proceed for Gulmarg (54 Kms/2 Hours) which is the most famous & scenic hill resort of Kashmir. Free at leisure for rest of the day. You may enjoy horse riding on plush meadows. Have Gondola ride up to the peak heights of Khilanmarg for which tickets are available at J&K State Cable Car Corporation office in Gulmarg. Advance Gondola tickets may also be purchased from Tourist Reception Center (TRC), Srinagar or same may be booked online to avoid standing in long queues at ticket counters in Gulmarg. Back to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight Stay at Srinagar.
Day 7
Srinagar - Doodhpathri-Srinagar
Doodhpathri or “Valley of Milk”, situated 40 kms from Srinagar is definitely an unexplored place in Kashmir. If you plan to visit Kashmir sometimes, you should take a little time off to visit this beautiful and enchanting place. You will certainly love the green meadows, pristine environment and serenity.
The best thing to enjoy here is the ride on horses to the bottom of snow-covered mountains and trekking. Some quiet and peaceful time at Doodhpathri, be back to Srinagar for overnight stay.
Day 8
Srinagar to Jammu/Katra (Drop)
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel after that proceed your journey towards Jammu/Katra Railway Station. Our driver will drop you at Katra/Jammu Railway station/Airport and Bus station from where you can return back to your home with sweet memories of your tour with Journey Handlers.
