Day 1
Arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station / TNCBT and Transfer to Kalimpong
Our executive will assist you for the forwarding journey to Kalimpong – It is approximately 100 Kilometers and is nearly 03 - 04 hours’ drive by road. Kalimpong is a quieter destination – Situated at a ridge overlooking the Teesta River and is a tourist destination owing to its temperate climate, magnificent Himalayan beauty and proximity to popular tourist locations in the region. It is the district headquarter of Kalimpong. Situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an elevation of 1243 meters / 4078 feet, it is a hill Station buzzing with fun, frolic– Check into Hotel in Kalimpong. Evening free to stroll around Kalimpong bazaar for shopping of handicrafts and relics. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2
Kalimpong Local Sightseein
Early morning breakfast and start the day for sightseeing - Kalimpong weather is milder and pleasant for most part of the year. Kalimpong offers monasteries, temples, tourist complexes, heritage buildings, parks, flower nurseries, heritage schools, charitable institutes - Start with Zang Dhok Palri or Durpin Monastery – Army Golf Course - Nursery - Dr Grahams Home (school with high standard of education) etc. After that back to hotel. Evening free to stroll around Kalimpong bazaar for shopping of handicrafts and relics. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Day 3
Transfer to Darjeeling via Lamahatta
Early Morning breakfast. Next the driver will assist you for the forwarding journey to Darjeeling. Its 55 kilometers and is nearly 02 hours’ drive. There can be two stop one at Peshok view point and another at Lamahatta – Darjeeling - the land of breathtaking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, crowned by the majestic Himalayas popularly known as the Queen of the hills - Jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas with mesmerizing beauty offers spectacular views of the Mount Everest, Mount Kanchendzonga and the rest of spectacular Himalayan range. Check in to hotel at Darjeeling. Stroll to Mall / shrubbery Park. Dinne and overnight stay.
Day 4
Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early morning at around 5 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) – On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast next round of sightseeing Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda. Then Back to hotel. Evening free to stroll around the area. Dinner and overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 5
Departure to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / TNCBT
After breakfast transfer to airport/ railway station. Kurseong / Mirik is a quiet town between Siliguri and Darjeeling noted for its secluded charm, Beautiful Tea Gardens, Samendu Lake, Orange Orchards, Cardamom Plantation and its pleasant Climate. Then drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) /Siliguri for your further journey. Then the tour ends but the happy memories will remain with Journey Handlers.
