Bomdila: Bomdila is famous for apple orchards. They are spread across large areas of the land. Laden with apples, the huge trees in the orchards are great attractions to tourists.

Kaziranga: Kaziranga National Park famous for its one-horned Rhinoceros is located in Golaghat, Nagaon and Sonitpur districts of Assam. Kaziranga was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. The park has an area of some 430 square km and lies between the Brahmaputra River and the Karbi (Mikir) Hills.

Kohima: Kohima famous for its eye-catching mountains covered with majestic greenery and a diverse range of birds. Kohima mountain is perfect for trekking in the forest, Kohima Park is an ideal picnic spot. Kohima temperature during spring and winter offers the breathtaking sight of the forest.

Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival Guwahati

Your amazing trip will start with your arrival at Guwahati Airport/ Station with Journey Handlers. Guwahati, ‘The light of the East’ is the commercial capital of North East lying adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra. Enroute to hotel visit the Maa Kamakhya temple and Sankardev Kalakhetra.
(Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara - a beehive. Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings - 08:00 am to 01:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.)

Day 2

Guwahati - Shillong (130 KMS / 3 ½ hrs drive)

Relish delicious breakfast at the hotel and drive to Shillong a beautiful hill station also known as the “Scotland of the East” is the capital city of Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. Enroute visit Umiam Lake or Barapani - is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. Later Visit Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays and Christian holidays), Cathedral of Marry, Golf Course and Ward’s Lake. After reaching Shillong, check-in to your hotel. Evening free at leisure to explore the region on own. You may take a walk to the famous Police Bazaar for shopping. where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake.

Day 3

Shillong - Cherrapunjee – Shillong (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way)

After a satisfying breakfast leave for a sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji, which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year.
In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit the Garden of Caves. After a joyful day drive back to Shillong.

Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.

Day 4

Shillong _Mwallynong - Dawki - Shillong (100 kms/ 3 hrs/ one way)

After a delicious breakfast drive to Mwallynong, the cleanest village in Asia, also known as ‘God’s own Garden’. With over 80 households, the village gives the ambiance of walking in a well-maintained park! You will also be acquainted to the Khasi lifestyle, their culture and economy.
Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge. The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people inter-twine to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time.
Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation is fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river. The river is famous for its crystal-clear water. The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride (at additional cost boat ride at additional cost). Drive up to the Bangladesh border. Later proceed to Shillong.

Day 5

Shillong – Tezpur (250 Kms / 6 hrs)

This morning after a pleasant breakfast drive to Tezpur.
After reaching Tezpur check-in your hotel & relax as rest of the evening is at leisure. If time permits, visit Mahabhairav temple.
Overnight in Tezpur.

Day 6

Tezpur - Dirang (190 Kms / 5 hrs)

This morning after breakfast drive to Dirang (4910 ft). Visit the TDL Monastery (Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery). Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure.
Overnight at Dirang.

Day 7

Dirang - Tawang (155 Kms / 6 hrs)

After a breakfast drive to Tawang (10,000 ft) Tawang is the beautiful land of the Monpa tribes. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature.
En route witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Also witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 13700 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. After reaching Twang check-in your hotel & relax as rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 8

Tawang

After a breakfast visit the Tawang Monastery also known as the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” is one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia and is the largest of its kind in India. The Monastery is 400-year-old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. It stands at 10,000 feet amidst the exotic Himalayan ranges and overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Later visit The Urgelling Monastery which is located 5 km from Tawang city, and is the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by the Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century. Also visit Ani Gompa and the Buddha Statue. Later visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. After full day sightseeing driver back to hotel in Tawang
Overnight in Tawang.

Day 9

Tawang - Bomdila (180 Kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys and Himalayan landscapes.
En route visit the Jung Falls also known as “The Nuranang falls” @6000 feet is located about 40 km before reaching Tawang is famed as one of the most stunning waterfalls in North East India. The falls height is about 100 meters. The legend about the waterfalls goes that it is named after a Monpa girl Nura who aided an Indian soldier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
After reaching Bomdila check-in your hotel & relax as rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 10

Bomdila - Kaziranga (320 kms / 8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Kaziranga, the World Heritage Site is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. Kaziranga National Park is a natural habitat for conservation of biologically diverse flora & fauna. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses besides sheltering about 15 species of India's threatened mammals. There is numerous other major wildlife fauna. After reaching Kaziranga check-in your hotel & relax as rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 11

Kaziranga

Wake up to the chirping of the exotic birds and fragrance of the fresh flowers and start your day with the early morning Elephant Safari (Optional on direct payment basis) in the Kaziranga National Park. Return back to hotel for breakfast. Later proceed for Jeep safari in the Central Range (Subject to operational of National Park). With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daphlang and Kathpora. Later enjoy Local Village & Tea Garden (Outer View) tour. After an exciting day drive back to hotel.
Overnight in Kaziranga.
Note: Kaziranga National Park remain closed from 01st April to 31st October every year (Dates may change as per the order from Forest department).
If Kaziranga National Park is not in operational alternative visit Kaziranga National Orchid & Bio diversity Park.

Day 12

Kaziranga - Kohima (250 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Veiled amidst the North Eastern mountains, Nagaland is a state of mysticism and awe. The state presents nature in its fullest bloom. The Highlanders of Nagaland preserves man's early animist culture, through its amazing ancient traditions. The prominent tribes of Nagaland are Angami Naga, Ao, Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi & Yimchungru etc. Tribe and clan traditions and loyalties play an important part in the life of Nagas. The annual Hornbill Festival is celebrated at Kohima between 1st & 10th of December. The Hornbill Festival is aimed at reviving, protecting and sustaining richness of the Naga heritage & traditions through cultural extravaganza of dances, performances, crafts, parades, games, sports, food fairs and religious ceremonies. Enroute Visit War Cemetery. After reaching Kohima check-in your hotel & relax as rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 13

Kohima – Dimapur (70 Kms /2 hrs drive)

After breakfast check-out from the hotel. A unique experience of soul probing expedition through the lush state with this breath-taking package ends today. You’ll be transferred to the Dimapur Airport as it’s time to say goodbye with cherishable memories.
