Kinnaur Kailash is a mountain peak located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is a part of the Kailash mountain range and is considered one of the holiest mountains in the Hindu religion. The peak is at an altitude of 6,050 meters and is located near the Tibetan border.
The Kinnaur Kailash peak is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that Lord Shiva, the Hindu deity, resides on the peak with his consort, Parvati. The mountain is also considered sacred by the Buddhists, who believe that it is the abode of Lord Buddha. Apart from the trek, there are several other attractions in the Kinnaur district. The Sangla Valley, located at a distance of around 20 km from the Kinnaur Kailash peak, is a beautiful valley known for its apple orchards, cherry blossoms, and traditional wooden houses. The Chitkul village, located at the end of the Sangla Valley, is known for its natural beauty and is the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border.
